The room was lovely - other than the fact that the television did not work well. Despite Kelly's best efforts - it was unwatchable as it was pixilating, freezing, and buffering. Dinner was delicious. Breakfast was as expected. But - the staff were wonderful! All of them. Particularly Kate. Nothing was too much trouble. She was attentive, efficient and very friendly. You have a real star there!!

Nicola

Room was very nice, family room with two separate bedrooms. Obviously, being a very old building floors were uneven and doorway heights low, but that just adds to the character. Pub was really busy, with friendly locals (there was world cup rugby on, so a lot of cheering!) Food was excellent and reasonably priced; a good selection of ales too.

Stephen

country Pub well attended by locals good food wine and beer dog friendly rooms are above the pub and were noisy until closing time and then all was quiet. food was good and dogs could be in certain parts of the restaurant/bar excellent place to walk the dogs and places where they could run off the lead

John

The pub seems to be situated in the middle of nowhere and surrounded by fields, I found it quite picturesque. we had a quick check in and shown to our room. As it's an old building the rooms are a bit quirky as in, they are on a slant, but I found it ok. The staff and locals were friendly and helpful.

Clive

Lovely cozy pub, good selection of beers, wine and gin. Nice to be able to take our dog into the bar. The staff/bar staff were very friendly and helpfull. The locals pointed us in the right direction for a not too much of a muddy walk given the dreadful weather we have been having.
