As this is a very old Inn it has quirky rooms where the walls and floors slope in various ways which all adds to the general warm feeling in the Inn. The owners and staff are very friendly, helpful and accommodating without being overbearing. We arrived Ona very sunny Friday afternoon so we’re able to sit out in the beer garden which is very quiet with lovely views over the fields. The food is of very high standards and the portions are huge, you certainly won’t go hungry. I had originally booked to take my elderly dad but he didn’t go on this trip in the end which was probably fortunate, looking back as he wouldn’t have managed the stairs as they are a little steep and winding, fun for us tackling them in heels after being at a wedding all day tho 😂 I would definitely use this Inn again if in the area. Lovely stay, thank you to everyone at the Windmill.

I stayed at the Windmill for one night as I was working in the area. The rooms are very well presented with tea and coffee making facilities, smart TV and a very comfortable bed. Breakfast is a serve yourself continental, there is a toaster and a large range of cereals to choose from. I originally had a room in the annex, this was a lovely room with a skylight and looked very comfortable. The TV wasn't working so was given the option to move into the main building. The other room was above the bar areas, I was a bit concerned about this because of the noise, but it was absolutely fine, no noise just a restful nights sleep. I had my evening meal in the pub, great service and great food at a very reasonable price. The staff are lovely and very helpful.

Three of us stayed in Room 4, it was beautiful. My friend had the double room and my daughter and I had the master bedroom made into a twin room. it was all spotlessly clean, the shower was wonderful with plenty of space to move around it. The staff were great and couldn't have done more to help. They offered to take our bags for us. They filled our numerous water bottles with iced water. Nothing was too much trouble. We all had a really comfortable night's sleep and came down to an amazing self-serve breakfast in morning. There were a range of hot drinks and fruits juices, a huge variety of cereals, muffins, pain au chocolate, bread for toast, jams, spreads, fresh fruit, and no limit, you could eat as much or as little as you wanted.

Lovely pub with very friendly staff, the room was very clean and comfortable. As dog owners it is always a good sign in a room that it is so clean you cannot tell dogs are allowed 😊 There was a very good supply of coffee/tea & biscuits in the room. There was also a fan and daily clean towels provided which were greatly appreciated with the hot weather. The breakfast was continental style and a great choice was provided including fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereal, bread, crumpets, breakfast bars, pastries and a coffee machine. The breakfast was available until 11am, there was also the option for a cooked breakfast at the weekend.

Arrived a few hours early and was settled in front of the fire while staff made us a cup of tea. I had requested a ground floor room if possible, and it was ! They have a converted barn to one side of the pub, with two rooms in it, which was set up very well. Not a huge room, but very comfortable. The continental breakfast was set up for self serve each morning, with cereal, juice, toast jams and spreads, with tea and coffee to complement the muffins and energy bars they also provided. Dinner each night was exceptional ! Very quiet area, but handy to the rat race in a short drive.
